Installation
Rhino Installation
- Copy the following files to

Blender Exchange.rhc
- Open Rhino 8 and type

in the command bar. - In the Containers panel, click the folder icon in the bottom left, then browse to
Blender Exchange.rhc
in the directory above. - Verify the “Blender Exchange” tab appears in the Rhino toolbar.
Blender Installation
- Download the RBE addon as a
.zip
file (named “Rhino Exchange”). - In Blender, go to
Edit > Preferences > Add-ons

Get Started / Initial Setup
RBE facilitates mesh transfers between Rhino and Blender via a dedicated folder. The workflow typically starts with a Rhino .3dm
file.
- In Rhino, create and save a
.3dm
file in your desired location. - In Blender, go to the “Rhino Exchange” tab in the 3D Viewport’s sidebar (

key), clickLink
, and select the.3dm
file to connect the two applications.
